What's the Difference Between KN95 and N95 Masks

We feel very sad and sympathetic when reading the international news these days seeing the spreading of COVID-19 in many countries.

The situation of China is getting better and better day by day while the situation gets worse outside of China.

We have many customers overseas asking us if we could ship some masks to them as they are lacking of basic protection. We would like to explain the difference between two kinds of masks, N95 and KN95 which are most frequently mentioned by our customers.

The common ground of N95 and KN95 is both can filter up to 95% of non-oil particle in the air. That means they are the same in function.

The difference is KN95 is in compliance with GB2626-2006 standard, which is a Chinese standard.

N95 is in compliance with American NIOSH standard.

This is the only difference.

In market, the price difference between KN95 and N95 is quite huge. The retail price of a KN95 mask is about USD 1.4/pc while the N95 retail price will be USD 4.0 or up. This is because it's costly for Chinese mask manufacturers to get in the NIOSH standard.

Considering this difference, we believe KN95 is a better choice for customers who wish to import masks from China for urgent use. Not only because of price, but also the function.
